Ecology Camp is a summer day camp sponsored by the Clinton Park & Recreation Department, Clinton Land Conservation Trust and the Community Foundation of Middlesex County. The camp was established in 2007, because of the desire to educate children about local resources and for children to establish a love and appreciation of our fragile environment.

Campers, ages 7-11, attend this one-week program. The campers explore many different habitats. They search for invertebrates in tidepools, they use a beach seine to catch fish and they observe majestic osprey (and other shorebirds) in the salt marsh of the Clinton Town Beach.
When they are not exploring saltwater habitats, they are hiking through Peter’s Woods and the Indian River Complex. Here, they discover the inhabitants of the vernal pools, discover animal tracks, locate fungi & lichen, and they learn how to identify trees and differentiate woodland bird songs.
Campers & their counselors play ecological games, sing ecological songs and perform ecological skits on the last day. A great experience for our Clinton Kids!
