Friends of Joel is a nonprofit organization, formed to raise money solely for the educational enhancement of the students at Joel Elementary School.
FOJ IS… the Parents, Step Parents, Grandparent, Aunts, Uncle, Faculty and friends that donate their time whether an hour or more to help.
We want to provide those extras that make our children's educational experience so exciting and enriching! FOJ identifies and hires your children's monthly cultural assemblies. Any excess funds raised each year go directly to purchase valuable equipment (ex: smart boards) and supplies for the teaching staff, which were not included in the schools' annual budget. Activities like Project Adventure and playground equipment have all benefited from our fundraising. FOJ also sponsors the annual Sports-a-thon, Teachers' Appreciation Luncheons and numerous other school run programs throughout the year.
