Dear Families,
As the leaves change and the weather cools, we’re excited to enjoy the fall season! This is a wonderful time for learning, creativity, and community. Please remember to send your child with appropriate layers for cooler mornings. Thank you for your continued support — we’re looking forward to a fun and cozy season together!
Our Lost and Found is growing in size. Please ask your child to visit the lost and found outside our cafeteria during their lunch break.
Thank you FOJ for a wonderful Monster Mash experience for Joel students and our
community. Your efforts in making this event a great success are truly appreciated.
Friday, October 30th is our Dress Up Day Parade at Joel School. See all the details HERE.
Upcoming Seasonal Events: Spirit Days are here! Check the schedule of spirit events.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks to our 4th grade team for their investment in their students!
Fourth graders are moving along in our first module in ELA. We have researched famous poets to answer our guiding question, "What inspires poets to write poetry?" Using this research, fourth graders were introduced to the structure of a literary essay in order to explain what inspired their poet using evidence from their biography and their works of poetry. All of this work is preparing students to write an original poem about what inspires them. These poems will be presented to families during our annual Poetry Slam on November 18th. We hope to see you all there!
