Dear Families,

Fall brings a season full of learning, growth, and exciting activities. Here are a few quick updates and reminders as we head into the new season:

• Layer Up for Outdoor Recess: Mornings are getting chilly! Please make sure your child wears a light jacket, sweater, or coat to school so they stay comfortable during outdoor recess. Labeling outerwear with your child’s name helps us return lost items quickly.

• Fall Curriculum Highlights: This season, we will be diving into goal setting with students and dive deeper into our curricular units. Ask your child what they’ve been exploring in class!

• Upcoming Seasonal Events: Spirit Days are here!  Check the schedule of spirit events.

Student Shout Outs: Every morning, we will do student shout-outs from school.

Feel free to send us home shout-outs as well, and we will read them in the morning.

Start with Hello: Classrooms this week delivered many lessons connected with “Start with Hello.” 

Pre-K-3 students are working hard on their phonics lessons.  These are crucial foundational skills that support reading fluency and comprehension. 

Social Emotional Learning: Students are learning many strategies to help them regulate, such as breathing techniques and how to use the calming corners available in their classroom.
